Dallas Fort Worth Buick: Check out the 2012 Buick Verano

Here at Freeman Grapevine, we call the 2012 Buick Verano the CEO’s commuter-car. Why? Because it is absolutely full of features you just aren’t going to find on your everyday commuter. The inside appointments are so plush, you’d swear it would knock the price out of your “budget” ballpark. Wrong. It’s below $30,000.

From cars.com

The Inside

Where it counts, the Verano’s interior feels plush — somewhere between a compact and a luxury car, but closer to the latter. Similar money could get a well-equipped Cruze or Mazda3. The Buick is richer than both. Its doors shut with a suitable thunk, and amid city gridlock and elevated trains, the insulation impresses. You can talk without raising your voice as a garbage truck barrels by. Padded materials line the doors and dash, fabric runs down the A-pillars — a luxury-car touch — and the faux-metal trim has an upscale brushed finish.

…and that is exactly what it sounds like in the cabin of a 2012 Buick Verano. It does an amazing job of isolating the cabin interior from the cacophony of sounds just outside its doors.

So, if you’re interested in a compact commuter that a CEO would proud to be seen in, come and take a look at the 2012 Buick Verano at Freeman Grapevine. You’ll see how you can feel like a millionaire for under $30,000.

Dallas Get 25% more MPG in a 2012 Buick Regal

The car that will get you a whole bunch more miles per gallon…and it’s not a hybrid. Did you know that the 2012 Buick Regal with eAssist Technology gives your customers an estimated 25% more miles per gallon?

According to AutoBlog.com:

…the addition of eAssist to the Regal’s 2.4-liter inline-four powertrain means that the sedan is now capable of achieving 26 miles per gallon in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Like the LaCrosse, the Regal eAssist uses a compact electric motor and state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery to a 2.4L four-cylinder ECOTEC engine, improving fuel economy by an estimated 25%. When combined with things like regenerative braking and automatic start/stop, it means a substantial increase in fuel economy.

That’s some significant improvement in by book. See, there’s hope on the horizon, finally a car to help battle the steadily high gas prices…and don’t call it a hybrid. The 2012 Buick Regal eAssist is a sedan with “light electrification technology,” GM says.

And this is directly off of Buick.com

The standard 2.4L ECOTEC VVT 4-Cylinder engine delivers sport-injected performance along with the precise, agile handling that has made the Regal luxury sport sedan a favorite of owners and experts alike. Three additional engine choices give you the option to focus on what matters most to you—be it pulse-quickening performance, extraordinary efficiency, or combination of both.

How can you NOT want to come and test drive the 2012 Buick Regal at Freeman Grapevine right this second? I think I’ll go take one for a spin.

Buick and GMC Dealers Nationwide are getting a Facelift

new freeman grapevine, freeman grapevine facelift, dallas Buick Dealer, dallas fort worth used car, Dallas GMC Dealer, dallas GMC Truck, dallas new car, dallas Used Car, dallas Used Truck, dfw driving, GMC Dealer, GMC Truck, new carHere at Freeman Grapevine, we just completed major renovations as many other Buick GMC dealers are doing. It was time to get a fresh new look, one that luxury car buyers would expect from a luxury car dealer. The bottom line was that GMC and Buick have made, and continue to make improvements to the dealership experience for consumers.

Some of our changes  include an exterior facelift with new signage, a station designated for greeting guest upon arrival, a bright, airy atmosphere, and a lounge that includes free Wi-Fi, along with other perks.

We are noticing that a lot of new Buck and GMC’s consumers coming from automakers outside of GM’s labels and the brand decided to do the update as a way to cater to this market.

This is a direct quote from Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Buick & GMC Sales and Service:

“Luxury shoppers today expect a certain level of treatment when purchasing a vehicle,” said . “Those expectations are now being met at many Buick and GMC stores around the country. These aren’t just new faces on old buildings. We’re creating the complete and convenient dealership experience that attracts these buyers.” [source egmcartech]

Of course, one of the most important aspects of this new look is that Freeman Grapevine customers have  a stronger selection to go with our fantastic new showroom that features them.

We’re pretty proud with how everything has turned out. You’ll have to swing by and take a look for yourself at our incredible showroom, we know you’ll be impressed.

Dallas – Fort Worth: The new 2012 Buick Enclave in a Nutshell

2012 Buick Enclave, dallas Buick Dealer, Dallas GMC Dealer, dallas GMC Truck, dallas new car, dallas Used Car, dallas Used Truck, dfw driving, financing, GMC Dealer, GMC Truck,Even though the Buick Enclave may not have changed much since its introduction back in 2008, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a closer look at if you’re in the market for a big, comfy crossover with third-row seating and a touch of luxury.

The vehicle is based on the same platform, which is used in vehicles like the GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse, and former Saturn Outlook, and is capable of carrying up to eight people. The Buick is the most luxurious of the lot, and has a starting price of around $36,600.

For that money you get a 3.6-liter V-6 with 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque on tap, sending drive to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel economy for the 2012 Buick Enclave checks in at 17/24 city/highway mpg for front-wheel drive models and dips to 16/22 city/highway mpg if you use the all-wheel drive option.

Also, Buick has decided to do away with the CX and CXL trim level names and badging for 2012. Instead, there are new equipment packages including 1SB (Enclave Base), 1SD (Convenience), 1SL (Leather) and 1SN (Premium).

Although this is something we don’t really need to use in Dallas Fort Worth, but a new hill-start assist feature has also been added for 2012, preventing the vehicle from rolling back on steep inclines by leaving the brakes on for 1.5 seconds after the driver lifts off the brake pedal. This is a great feature for all of our friends in the Texas hill country.

Other new features include a new electronic pedal override feature that reduces engine power when the brake and accelerator pedals are depressed at the same time, as well as a power outlet added to the center console.

As mentioned, the Enclave features third-row seating and unlike many of its rivals most adults will find the third row hospitable. Interior volume even with the third-row seat in place is 24.1 cubic feet, rising to more than 115 cubic feet when the second- and third-row seats are folded forward.

Finally, the Enclave’s crash scores have remained excellent even as testing criteria have changed–just what you want for carrying around your most precious cargo. The IIHS calls it a Top Safety Pick; the NHTSA gives it five stars overall, with a four-star rating for front and a five-star rating for side impacts.

Come and take a test drive on the new 2012 Buick Encalve at your Dallas Fort Worth Buick dealer, Freeman Grapevine today.

Dallas Buick Dealer and the New Buick LaCrosse Concept

Buick Dallas, GMC Dallas, Texas Buick, Texas GMC, Texas GMC Dealer, Used Car Dealers Dallas, Used Cars Dallas, used cars fort worthAs a Dallas Buick Dealer, I know that when some people think of Buick, they don’t necessarily think of the word “luxury”. “Comfortable, smooth, well-built” are the words I hear the most to describe the Buick LaCrosse.

Well, it was only a matter of time before we started to see more refined sensibilities come out of the Buick design factory, and if this new Buick LaCrosse Concept give any hint of what to come from Buick, I think we are all in for some really nice surprises.Buick Dallas, GMC Dallas, Texas Buick, Texas GMC, Texas GMC Dealer, Used Car Dealers Dallas, Used Cars Dallas, used cars fort worth

Some upgraded luxury touches include  a palette of trims including cabernet red, dark cocoa brown and caramel chocochino; French-stitched premium leather seats; suede on the headliner; and a red exterior with tinted chrome accents.

“Every surface in the interior of the LaCrosse GL has been crafted with the knowledge that Buick customers enjoy the finer things in life, but don’t need to flaunt it,” Magdalena Kokoszynska, creative designer on LaCrosse GL said.

Buick Dallas, GMC Dallas, Texas Buick, Texas GMC, Texas GMC Dealer, Used Car Dealers Dallas, Used Cars Dallas, used cars fort worthThe exterior of the Buick LaCrosse GL Concept is colored in red with brushed and tinted chrome accents on the grille, door handles and deck lid, as well as around the windows, taillights and headlights.

“The LaCrosse GL concept expresses Buick’s distinctly human kind of luxury – one that is as warmly inviting as it is elegant and refined,” said David Lyon, executive director of design. “The design cues that already distinguish the production LaCrosse – such as the premium leather-upholstered seats, ice blue ambient lighting and soft touch surfaces – are amplified in the GL and serve as inspiration for future Buick models.”

Now of course we’ll see some type of price restructuring, but as of now, since there is no word of a production model yet, I guess Buick is just testing the market to see what type of reaction the LaCrosse GL receives before making any decisions.

If you are interested in seeing the current production model of the Buick LaCrosse, don’t hesitate to swing by your Dallas Buick Dealer and take a test drive. You’ll be glad that you did.

Dallas Buick Dealer Invites you to see “Compact Luxury”

buick verano, GMC Dallas, Buick Dallas, Used Cars Dallas, Texas GMC, Used Cars Fort Worth, Used Car Dealers Dallas, Texas Buick, Texas GMC DealerThe luxury car world is always looking for the next big thing, could it be that the next big thing is actually making a luxury compact? Your Dallas Buick Dealership was thinking the same thing, that is until we were personally introduced to the new 2012 Buick Verano.

From the get-go, it’s clear that GM wanted the Verano to be a clean break from its checkered past of rebadging Chevy compacts. In sharp contrast from Buick’s last compact, the Skylark which died out in 1998, the Verano hides its Chevrolet roots well from the outside. With only a subtle “hockey stick” character line betraying its Opel roots, the Verano is neither a rebadged Euro-market sedan (like the Regal) nor a “pure” Buick design like the LaCrosse. But it does split the difference between the two designs, marrying a subtle design with a few discrete Buick cues like the hood-mounted ventiports. The overall impression is of a clean, classy car that is, if anything, possibly a bit too substantial and anonymous… which, upon further reflection, makes it quite Buick-like.

buick verano, GMC Dallas, Buick Dallas, Used Cars Dallas, Texas GMC, Used Cars Fort Worth, Used Car Dealers Dallas, Texas Buick, Texas GMC DealerInside, GM’s newfound parts-bin savvy takes center stage: just as the Regal was rebadged from a different market, the Verano’s interior is borrowed but not a duplicate. The seats, which are some of the best available in the compact class, are the huge, well-bolstered thrones from the LaCrosse.

So, if you were wonder what “Compact Luxury” looks and feels like, stop by your Dallas Buick Dealership, Freeman Grapevine and take one for a spin yourself!

Ever Think About Renting Out Your Car? GM and OnStar Think It’s A Great Idea Too!

grapevine cars, gmc fort worth, dealerships dfw, buick dealer, GMC dealer, used cars dfw, used cars fort worth

There are tons of things that people seem to rent out, from houses to appliances, to computers, to baby furniture, but your personal Dallas car is not one that comes up often. Of course there are car rental agencies, but these are agencies, not just “Regular Joes” renting things out.  However, renting out your car is not a bad idea, provided that you either don’t need it all the time, or you have multiple means of transportation to make it happen.

If renting your car out is something that interests you, then it could be done easily if you own a GM vehicle with OnStar, like a Buick or Fort Worth GMC. Incidentally, you can find at Freeman Grapevine, and it’s easy because GM has just launched a new program that encourage just that.

Recently GM has partnered with RelayRides, which is a peer-to-peer carsharing opportunity which helps peers share their cars and make some cash…and who wouldn’t want too make some extra cash?!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s4sIjabalA

The program lets the owner of the vehicle set the rates and availability of their vehicle to be rented. By going through RelayRides, the owner of the GM vehicle has the comfort in knowing that there is a $1million insurance policy that makes the transaction a safe and convenient one.

How does this work exactly?  By using the OnStar system! A RelayRides borrower would need a smartphone, download an app and then use it to control their borrowed vehicle.  But there’s a catch. The program with RelayRides and GM won’t be available until 2012. However, we are very curious to see how this new venture will go. Would you sign up your GMC Fort Worth? Or what about your Buick?  We’d love to hear from so post your thoughts on this concept below or stop by and chat with us at Freeman Grapevine!

It’s time to break out the congratulatory cigars! The delivery of the baby is almost here. No, we’re not talking about a human baby, but the new baby Buick also know as the all-new, redesigned 2012 Buick Verano which will be making its appearance here soon at your local Buick dealer, Freeman Grapevine.

Although it may be the smallest vehicle that Buick has to offer, it by no means is small when it comes to anything else. In fact, the baby Buick has a long list of amazing, luxury features making it hard to not notice.  More on that in a minute.

But first, one of the things I love most about Buick is its Quittunning Technology. I’ve been in a lot of different types of vehicles and one thing that I can totally appreciate is when the vehicle is a quite and smooth ride. With this Quittunning Technology, the 2012 Buick Verano has triple-sealed doors, acoustical laminated glass and the refined chassis is designed to block or absorb sound and vibrations. Relaxing indeed!

Back to the list of some the great options, Buick will have include a touch-screen navigation system, a heated steering wheel, keyless ignition, front and rear heated seats and dual-zone climate control to name just a few.

Here’s a look inside the new 2012 Buick Verano:

httpv://youtu.be/4FFhjIryO5c

And if you’re on the up and up when it comes to technology, Buick has OnStar Owner App and remote control, Intellilink, OSE premium auto speaker system, USB port and Bluetooth connectivity.

Safety also remains a top priority for the Buick Verano. Though crash-test rating are not yet out, GM expect that it will receive a top five-star federal rating plus a Top Safety Pick from IIHSA. The Buick Verano is armed with the highest protection like electronic stability control, ten standard airbags, OnStar Automatic Crash Response and anti-lock braking with brake assist.

Although this may be the baby of Buick’s it sure does have a lot of grown-up features. If you’re like me and are patiently waiting, contact us or stop by with your information so that you can be one the first contacted when the all-new 2012 Buick Verano hits your Buick dealer, Freeman Grapevine.

eAssist and the 2012 Buick LaCrosse

Are you one of those people who put your car in neutral when you’re at a stop light or even go as far as turning your car off when you’re just idling for a bit all in hopes to save a few drops of that ever so precious commodity, gasoline?

If you are one of those people, then you may want to look into the new 2012 Buick LaCrosse with its advance eAssist technology. It literally has the technology to switch from gas to battery when you’re idling and save you lots of gas. And can go right back from battery to gas when you step on the gas pedal. Pretty awesome, right?!

The 2012 Buick LaCrosse with eAssist is a hybrid of a hybrid, but not so hybrid that you’ll only be shopping at natural foods stores for the rest of your life. In fact, the fuel saving it gets from its start-stop technology will leave you feeling like you do your part to help save the earth so that you can eat your Big Mac too. Did I mention that it gets 25 miles per gallon in the city and a rather impressive 36 mpg highway! Pretty good if I do say so myself!

Buick has also put out a 30-second commercial explaining the simplicity of the eAssist comparing it to us running in place when we’re not moving. It’s a clever one! Check it out here:

Though, I will say that running in place is a great workout. You should try it sometimes but be warned that you’ll get some looks, but that’s just funny in itself! But in all seriousness, find out more about the 2012 Buick LaCrosse with eAssist today at Freeman Grapevine in Ft. Worth.

The Buick Regal GS throws its hat in the racing ring

grapevine cars, gmc fort worth, dealerships dfw, buick dealer, GMC dealer, used cars dfw, used cars fort worthWho would have thought that you’d ever see a Buick Regal involved in a competitive race, but that’s exactly what is going to happen.

Nevertheless, GM will be running a nearly stock Regal GS in the Silver State Classic Challenge. This bi-annual race is an open road rally run on a remote, two-lane, 90-mile section of the Silver State’s Highway 318. It’s common for cars to top 200 mph, but given the GS theoretical top speed of 152 mph, it will be competing against 30 to 40 other cars in the 120-mph speed class.

The only modifications made to the GS will be required safety equipment that includes a roll hoop and five-point belts along with computational equipment for data collection.

Special Note: The car will be driven by GS engineers Bill Rietow and John Townsend.

The GS is the most performance-oriented Regal in Buick’s sport sedan lineup, that is of course if a lineup can consist of a single car.  There’s no doubt that the race will be a thrilling event, but it also serves as an opportunity for Buick to gain invaluable insights about vehicle and engine performance that directly benefit Buick buyers. That’s where the real benefit of putting the Regal through it’s paces comes to life. Don’t be surprised if the engineers at Buick apply a little of their new found track knowledge to future Regal models.
